Mumbai: Actress Kriti Sanon who is popular for her movies like ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’, ‘Luka Chuppi’, ‘Raabta’, and others, is soon coming up with her next film ‘Mimi’. In this upcoming movie, the ‘Adipurush’ actress will be seen portraying the role of a surrogate mother reportedly and Pankaj Tripathi, Supriya Pathak and Sai Tamhankar will also be seen playing pivotal roles in this upcoming surrogacy drama.
Kriti Sanon announced the release date of ‘Mimi’ on her social media and shared a new poster from the movie. Kriti revealed that the movie will premiere on July 30 on the OTT platforms Netflix and Jio Cinema.
While sharing the update, Kriti Sanon wrote on Instagram, “This July, the unexpected offer will change her LIFE! Delivering the #Mimi Trailer in 3 days, #Tuesday! #NothingLikeWhatYoureExpecting! #Mimi releasing on 30th July on @officialjiocinema & @netflix_in.”
The trailer of ‘Mimi’ will release on July 13. Kriti shared a montage from the upcoming film yesterday while announcing the trailer release date and wrote, “It’s nothing like what you’re expecting! Delivering the #Mimi trailer on 13th JULY, #Tuesday! Beyondddd Thrilled!! Stay tuned!”
‘Mimi’ is a remake of the National Award-winning Marathi film 'Mala Aai Vhhaychy!' which released in the year 2011. ‘Mimi’ has been directed by Laxman Utekar where the ‘Bachchan Pandey’ actress will play the role of a young surrogate mother. Reportedly, Kriti Sanon had to gain 15 kilos to get into the shoes of the character.
Meanwhile, other than ‘Mimi’, Kriti Sanon will also be seen featuring in ‘Hum Do Humare Do’, ‘Adipurush’, ‘Bachchan Pandey’ and ‘Bhediya’.
