Mumbai: Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan is on a roll these days. The ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ actor is signing interesting projects back-to-back. After giving his nod to Sajid Nadiadwala’s upcoming film, the talented actor has now signed Ekta Kapoor and Jay Shewakramani’s new flick titled ‘Freddy’. 


The upcoming romantic thriller promises to keep the audience engaged and take them on a roller coaster ride. The film will be helmed by Shashanka Ghosh, who directed Sonam Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer ‘Veere Di Wedding’. 


What Kartik Aaryan Said About ‘Freddy’? 


The ‘Luka Chuppi’ star said that he is quite excited to bring alive a dark romantic thriller. He also expressed his excitement on teaming up with Ekta Kapoor and Jay Shewakramani for the first time. 


“As an actor, I crave to explore different facades of entertainment and with Freddy, I'm venturing into an uncharted territory which is both exciting and intriguing in equal measures. I look forward to dwell in the world of Freddy and bring alive this dark romantic thriller. It also marks my first collaboration with a visionary like Ekta Kapoor and creatives forces like Jayu and Shahshanka. Couldn’t have asked for a better team on this new journey,” Aaryan said in a statement as quoted as saying by IANS. 


Who Will Romance Kartik Aaryan In ‘Freddy’? 


The makers have remained tight-lipped about the cast of the film. It remains to be seen which heroine will share screen-space with Kartik in ‘Freddy’. 


Kartik Aaryan’s Upcoming Films 


On the professional front, Kartik will be next seen in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, which is slated to hit the silver screens on November 19, 2021. The horror comedy also stars Kiara Advani and Tabu in key roles. 


The ‘Love Aaj Kal 2’ actor also has ‘Dhamaka’ in his kitty. His upcoming movie with Sajid Nadiadwala was initially titled ‘Satyanarayan Ki Katha’. However, the makers decided to change the title as they didn’t wish to hurt the sentiments of the people.
