Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh & Other B-Town Stars Are Ready To Set Silver Screens On Fire As Theatres Re-Open

Movies in August: Several Bollywood stars including Akshay Kumar will entertain the audience with their films as the cinema halls have been allowed to operate with 50% capacity except few states.

Movies in August 2021: Movie buffs have been eagerly waiting to watch their favorite stars on the big screen ever since the theatres were closed to combat the further spread of COVID-19 during the second wave in India. Strict lockdown has been instrumental in reducing the number of COVID-19 cases in the country. Several state governments have decided to allow the cinema halls to operate with fifty percent capacity.

August will turn out to be a blockbuster month as many films including Akshay Kumar's Bell Bottom and Ranveer Singh's 83 will hit the silver screens. Have a look at the movies, which are expected to release next month.

83

The film 83, based on India's victory in the 1983 Cricket World Cup, got delayed twice due to the Coronavirus twice. The shooting of the sports drama was completed last year. Contrary to the rumours, the makers decided to skip an OTT release and instead arrive in the cinema halls. After the re-opening of theatres, speculations are rife that the movie will hit the silver screen next month. According to the media reports, the film is most likely release soon.

Atrangi Re

Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan, Dhanush starrer Atrangi Re was slated to release on August 6, 2021. Considering the COVID-19 crisis, trade pundits expected the film to get delayed. While gossip mills suggest that the romantic drama will arrive soon, the makers are yet to announce a new release date.

Gangubai Kathiawadi

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi is also expected to entertain the audience in the month of August. The film, which is based on a real life story, stars Alia Bhatt in the titular role. The teaser of the film was unveiled in February and it managed to receive an amazing response from the fans.

Jayeshbhai Jordaar

Ranveer Singh will tickle the funny bones of his audience with a comedy drama titled Jayeshbhai Jordaar. Trade sources suggest that the film is likely to hit the theatreson August 27. Ranveer will be reportedly seen as a Gujarati man, who talks about equal rights for men and women. 'Kabir Singh' fame Shalini Pandey is romancing B-town's energtic star in the movie, which has been produced by YRF Films.

BellBottom

Earlier in the day, Akshay Kumar announced that BellBottom will finally release in the theatres on August 19. Akshay will be seen in the role of spy in the action thriller, which also stars Vaani Kapoor, Huma Qureshi and Lara Dutta.
