Kangana Ranaut, while responding to a tweet, said that she received 'secret calls' from Akshay Kumar and other big stars after the release of 'Thalaivi'.

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has managed to receive an amazing response from the audience after the release of the trailer of ‘Thalaivi’. The makers of the upcoming film unveiled the trailer on Kangana’s 34th birthday on March 23. While movie buffs are eagerly waiting for the release of ‘Thalaivi’, many fans are wondering why big tinsel town celebs have not shared a single appreciation post for Thalaivi’s trailer.

The likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar lauded the trailer of Alia Bhatt’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ but they chose to not comment on Thalaivi’s trailer, even when the fans have appreciated it.

Kangana, who often grans eyeballs with her statements, revealed that she got many ‘secret calls’ from big stars including Akshay Kumar after the release of her film’s trailer. The ‘Panga’ actress, while responding to a tweet, said that big tinsel town celebs can’t openly praise her like her contempories- Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt because of ‘terror of movie mafia’.

“Bollywood is so hostile that even to praise me can get people in trouble, I have got many secret calls and messages even from big stars like @akshaykumar they praised @Thalaivithefilm trailer to sky but unlike Alia and Deepika films they can’t openly praise it. Movie mafia terror,” Kangana tweeted.

"Wish an industry of art can be objective when it comes to art, and not indulge in power play and politics when it comes to cinema, my political views and spirituality should not make me a target of bullying, harassment and isolation but if they do, then obviously I will win," she further wrote on the micro-blogging site.

Kangana will be seen as former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in ‘Thalaivi’, which has been directed by AL Vijay. While makers of films like ‘Chehre’ and ‘Sooryavanshi’ have delayed their respective projects due to COVID-19 crisis, producers of ‘Thalaivi’ have decided to stick their release date.

‘Thalaivi’, which also stars Arvind Swami, is slated to hit the silver screens on April 23, 2021. The first song from the film titled was released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on April 2.
