'Kangana Ranaut Is Female Baaghi, Got Gooseflesh While Watching Dhaakad Teaser: Ahmed Khan
Baaghi 3 director Ahmed Khan praised Kangana Ranaut and clarified that his quote was taken out of context.
New Delhi: 'Baaghi 3' director Ahmed Khan created a furore on social media when he said that female led films don't work at the box office. The 'Nach Baliye 9' judge, while talking to a leading daily, said that Kangana Ranaut's 'Dhaakad' got stalled after 'Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi' failed to rake in big moolah. Kanganas sister Rangoli Chandel slammed Ahmed Khan for making statements about 'Dhaakad' on Twitter.
Responding to Ahmed's comments, Rangoli called him an "atrocious filmmaker". She also said that 'Baaghi 2' director had called Kangana and even apologised to her over his remarks.
Ahmed Khan faced a lot of flak for questioning films like 'Manikarnika' and 'Dhaakad and passing remarks on the female led movies. He has now clarified that he was quoted out of context by issuing a statement. " Kangana is the female Baaghi, the hero of Bollywood, and the only girl who can pull off an action film. I really liked Dhaakad teaser and got gooseflesh while watching it. She is a brilliant and powerful actor. If she approves my script, I will definitely work with her," the statement read. Talking about Kangana Ranaut, the 'Queen' actress is busy shedding those extra kilos, which she gained for her film Thalaivi. The 'Judgemental Hai Kya' star will perform several high octane action and combat scenes in 'Dhaakad'.
