New Delhi: 'Kaapa', a movie based on a story of G. R. Indugopan, has premiered in theatres on December 22. The newly released action film 'Kaapa', which stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, digs into Thiruvananthapuram's sordid underbelly, where rival goondas fight mercilessly in gang wars over control of the city's slums and suburbs. With Prithviraj playing the lead role, the Shaji Kailas-directed movie also has actors Aparna Balamurali, Asif Ali, and Anna Ben in some vital supporting roles. 

Here are five reasons to watch Prithviraj Sukumaran's 'Kaapa' on this weekend:

1. Shaji Kailas and Prithviraj Sukumaran teaming once again

Following the success, both critically and commercially, of their previous film, 'Kaduva', fans are eagerly anticipating Shaji Kailas' new action movie, 'Kaapa', which stars Prithviraj Sukumaran. We can't wait to find out what the two have in store for us because they have such a good understanding of one another.

2. The world of gangsters

Prithviraj Sukumaran successfully had his audience glued to their screens once more while playing the role of a strong mobster named Kotta Madhu and fighting rivals in a vicious gang. The movie will undoubtedly have some incredible fight scenes, and the dialogue, “I've always fought alone, to reach this position!" from the trailer is undoubtedly the star of the show and winning over his fans.

3. Winning spree

With each of his performances, Prithviraj Sukumaran continues to raise the bar for acting in films. He has had a fantastic year and is unquestionably on a winning streak. Fans are expecting another powerful performance in Kappa as well. 

4. Prithviraj Sukumaran and Asif Ali coming together

Prithviraj Sukumaran and Asif Ali are back again in their new action film.  The duo ensures that the film will be a success due to their on-screen chemistry. The two have worked together on a number of films together 'Sapthamasree Thaskaraha', Double Barrel, and 'Bachelor Party' being some of them.

5. Grey Protagonist

Prithviraj, who will portray a grey character in Kaapa, has consistently received plaudits for his ability to both match the part and provide a terrific performance. It's a must-watch movie because he plays a villain who has a feeling of humanity once more. 

On the work front, Prithviraj Sukumaran has a busy year ahead with the release of 'Salaar' starting Prabhas and 'Bade Miya Chote Miya' opposite Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. Apart from this Prithviraj will also be working on his acting and directorial venture 'L2: Empuraan' with Mohanlal.
