Mumbai: Filmmaker James Wan shared a picture on his social media teasing fans about the first day of filming Aquaman 2. Wan shared a picture from the set of the DC Film titled ‘Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom’. The upcoming DC Universe movie features Jason Momoa and Amber Heard in the lead roles.


Well, usually fans of DC Films would have rejoiced on this update, however, this time fans are pretty furious about the fact that Amber Heard is still on the cast of the film amid her ongoing legal battle with her ex-husband Johnny Depp.

James Wan shared a picture of the clapperboard from the sets and wrote, “Day One. #aquaman2”.



This did not go well with netizens and they took to Twitter to boycott the movie and started trending #JusticeForJohnnyDepp on the microblogging site. Twitteratis slammed the studio for casting Amber Heard after she reportedly admitted to hitting the ‘Pirates of the Carribean’ actor. Heard also reportedly alleged Johnny Depp of hitting her during their marriage.

Meanwhile, Johnny Depp decided to leave the Warner Bros franchise movie 'Fantastic Beasts 3' after he lost his legal battle with the British tabloid The Sun, who termed him a 'wife-beater'. Mads Mikkelsen has now taken up his role in the movie.
