JNU Violence: Deepika Padukone Reaches University To Express Solidarity With Students, See PICS & VIDEO
Deepika Padukone reached the Jawaharlal Nehru University to extend her support to the students, who were beaten up in a violence two days ago.
New Delhi: Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who is gearing up for the release of her much-awaited film ‘Chhapaak’, reached the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi to extend her support to the students. The ‘Padmaavat’ actress expressed her solidarity with the students, who were beaten in the violence two days ago.
DP was spotted in a protest which took place at the Sabarmati T point of Jawaharlal Nehru University. She didn't address the gathering. Check out the pictures and video!

After the attack on JNU, several Bollywood celebs including Taapsee Pannu, Zoya Akhtar, Vishal Bhardwaj, Dia Mirza joined a protest in Mumbai on Monday against the violence on the university campus. The likes of Sonam Kapoor, Shabana Azmi and Rajkummar Rao have condemned the attack on the students on social media. "What happened in #JNU is shameful, horrific and heartbreaking. Several students and teachers were attacked by a mob at the Jawaharlal Nehru University. The masked attackers thrashed the students and teachers inside the campus with wooden and metal rods. According to reports, at least 20 students were admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) including the JNU Students Union President Aishe Ghosh.
