New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan attended the major Jawan pre-release event on wednesday. Ruben, the film's editor, provided some fascinating behind-the-scenes stories at the event in Chennai. Ruben claimed that Shah Rukh kindly advised him to sacrifice his own moments in order to protect those of his co-stars when the movie's promotions got underway.
Shah Rukh, who stars in the action entertainer, made a grand entrance at the audio launch event. Atlee, the director of the movie, also arrived on stage in style. Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi both play crucial roles in Jawan.
While addressing the crowd at the event, Ruben talked about Shah Rukh's graciousness and said, "I thank Shah Rukh Khan for trusting us. Not just one, but a whole bus of Tamilians landed in the North. It needs some guts to do that. Also, as a human, he is a great… For example, at the editing table, he told me to cut the portions of him and spare the scenes of others.”
In addition, Ruben discussed Vijay's role in Jawan and said that he had trouble sleeping after seeing the actor perform. "I love Vijay Sethupathi… Most importantly the films where he is the villain. In Jawan, he has played a character which is death personified. His role gave me sleepless nights.”
The well-known film editor claimed that, despite shooting in places other than Tamil Nadu, his home state, around the nation, he never truly felt far from home because of Atlee. "Most technicians and I are not proficient in Hindi. On the other hand, everyone around me on the sets was Tamil when I got there to shoot in some uncharted territory. Atlee should be praised for making it feel like home," he continued.
Director Atlee also hailed Vijay Sethupathi for his performance and said, "There’s no one out there like you. No hero has the guts to do what you do. You don’t care about anything and keep walking forward and we follow you… No one will realise the heights you are reaching now. They will all know in retrospect.”
'Jawan' starring Shah Rukh Khan, Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara along with an ensemble cast, releases in theatres on September 7 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.
