Irrfan Khan’s SHOCKING remarks on Eid and Qurbani stirs a huge controversy! Muslim Law Board REACTS to the actor’s statment!
It seems controversy is knocking doors of Irrfan Khan. The actor earlier alleged that Rajnikanth's Kabali poster was copied from his film 'Madari'. However, the actor later on clarified saying that he joked but it seems this time he will not be able to play around the bush.
The actor revealed in an interview that rather than fasting, people should self-introspect during the festival of Ramzan. According to a report in India Today, he said, “Rather than fasting during Ramzan, people should self-introspect. Animals are being slaughtered on the name of qurbaani during Muharram. We, Muslims, have made a mockery of Muharram. It is meant for mourning and what we do? Take out (tajiya) processions.”

Irrfan even criticised Muslims for not speaking against terrorism. “Why Muslims are silent against the issue of terrorism. People should also question the politicians over this issue,” he said.
And it seems that all these remarks haven’t gone down well with the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB). As per the reports on BollywoodLife, ''A member of the group, Zafaryab Gilabi, condemned the actor and said that he is not a religious leader, so his advice is not needed. Maulana Khatri, secretary of Jamaat-e-Ulema-e-Hind also asked Irrfan to concentrate on his career, as he said, “It would be better if he concentrates on his film career and not make random statements about our religion. He is doing this just for the publicity of his upcoming movie.” Sher Qazi Khalid Usmani, Jaipur’s Shaher Qazi (chief jurist) also slammed the actor as he said, “He should keep his mouth shut as he has no knowledge about the religion.”
We hope the issue resolves soon!
