The untimely demise of Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan left a void in the hearts of his family members, friends and fans. The 'Piku' star, who was considered one of the most talented actors of this generation, left for his heavenly abode on April 29. It's hard to believe that Irrfan, a man with magic eyes, is no more with us. Several tinsel town celebs including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone had paid homage to the 'Paan Singh Tomar' actor on social media.

Irrfan Khan's wife Sutapa Sikdar, who provided him rock solid support during each phase of life, has shared unseen photos of the late actor on her official Facebook handle. She shared a heartfelt post and reminisced how the 'Hindi Medium' actor was present with her last year around this time. Sutapa got emotional while penning her thoughts and said that she has no idea how to welcome the New Year.

"It's so difficult to wish 2020 as the worst year as you were still there.last year this day next to me, gardening, busy building birds house how can I say goodbye to 2020!!Irrfan I have no idea how to welcome 2021!!," Sikdar wrote.



Irrfan Khan, who was admitted to Mumbai's Kokilaben Hospital, passed away due to colon infection. The 'Life In A Metro' star was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumor in 2018. He is survived by his wife Sutapa and two son Babil and Ayan. His children often share throwback photos of the Bollywood star on social media.

Ahead of the New Year, Babil posted heartwarming photos with his mother on Instagram. The caption for the post read, "With your guidance. 2021." Fans have flooded the comments section with their warm wishes and messages.



On the professional front, Irrfan Khan was last seen in 'Angrezi Medium', which couldn't enjoy a long run at the box office due to the COVID-19 lockdown. The movie also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan, Radhika Madan and Dimple Kapadia. His last film 'The Song of the Scorpions' will hit the silver screens in 2021.
