Ranveer Singh and Parineeti Chopra were also reported to perform but the duo opted out. While Ranveer cited a shoulder injury & was replaced by Hrithik Roshan, Parineeti felt she wasn’t prepared enough and doesn't want to give a compromised performance. The first match of 'Indian Premiere League 2018' is currently going on between Chennai super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians. Chennai super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and elected to bowl against Mumbai Indians in the opening match. Coming back to the opening ceremony, the entire field of the Wankhede Stadium was decked with the familiar colours of the Indian Premier League. On the whole, the cricket tournament is back with a bang in its 11th edition!
