The makers at the launch of the series promo said it is fictional and has nothing to do with any individual from the real life.
At its launch, Ritesh Sidhwani from Excel Media & Entertainment, responding to queries if the story has any similarities that of IPL and its scam, said: "No, the story is totally fictional and it has got nothing to do with any real life incident. Of course from the trailer it is looking a bit similar because we have seen cricket and also watch films. These two are a part of our culture, so you might get a familiar feeling."
The web series features Richa Chadha, Angad Bedi,Amit Sial, Tanuj Virwani, Siddhanth Chaturvedi, Vivek Oberoi, Sayoni Gupta, Sarah Jane Dias, and Sanjay Suri among others.
The series had intrigued the audience, right after its teaser launch and have left the masses wanting more of it.
Asked about his character which has a similarity with IPL founder Lalit Modi, Vivek said: "Well you have to watch the show to know it. As far as I know, it is not a character based on any individual life story, those there is some element that has been taken from real life.
"My character is a mastermind whose omnipresence is everywhere who acts like a puppeteer behind people who are into match fixing, scandal, money and business."
Richa, who is playing an actress and owner of a cricket team, added: "The show highlights the connection and romance between the cricket and entertainment world but my character is not based on any real person. The show is going to be very interesting as I found it very engaging while reading the script."
The web series can be watched on July 10 on Amazon Prime Video.
