Mumbai: Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela was the sole Indian, who served as a Miss Universe judge at the Universe Dome in Israel. The tinsel town diva, while exclusively speaking to ABP News, said that she was confident that India (Harnaaz Sandhu) would bag the coveted title. 


Urvashi, who participated in several beauty pageants including Miss Universe 2015, said that she was thrilled to see Harnaaz win the Miss Universe title on December 13. "It was a wonderful experience for me to witness the glorious moment as a judge," she said.

The ‘Pagalpanti’ actress revealed that she gave full marks to Sandhu in three different rounds after judging her on all parameters. "A contestant participating in a pageant must have 'beauty with purpose'. Harnaaz exuded confidence and had this quality," she added. 


“I closely examined Harnaaz’s profile and other contestants during the six-hour long selection process,” Urvashi said while talking about the Miss Universe 2021. 


The Pahadi beauty expressed her happiness over Sandhu’s historic win at the beauty pageant. “It has been recorded in the history books that an Indian won the Miss Universe title when I was the judge,” she said. Harnaaz is the second Indian to win the title of Miss Universe. B-town beauties- Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta bagged the coveted title in 1994 and 2000 respectively.



 Urvashi also spoke about meeting former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and shared her experience of judging Miss Universe 2021. The second part of the exclusive interview will be published soon.
