After Mom Maheep, Shanaya Kapoor Tests Positive For COVID-19

Shanaya Kapoor's mother Maheep Kapoor had contracted COVID-19 after attending Karan Johar's party.

New Delhi: Bollywood actor Sanjay Kapoor's daughter Shanaya Kapoor took to social media to inform her followers that she has tested positive for COVID-19. Earlier this week, her mother Maheep Kapoor had tested positive for Coronavirus after she attended Karan Johar's party in Mumbai. 

Shanaya Kapoor Reveals She Has Mild Symptoms 

The star kid shared a post on her Instagram story, requesting people, who came in contact with her, to undergo a test. She provided a health update and revealed that she has mild symptoms. 

“I have tested positive for Covid-19. As of today, I have mild symptoms, but I'm feeling ok and have isolated myself. I had tested negative four days ago however, while testing again as precaution the results came positive,” Shanaya wrote. 

She said that she is following all the necessary protocols after contracting the virus. “I am following the protocol given by my doctor and health professionals. If you have been in contact with me, request you to please get tested. Stay safe everyone.” 

Sanjay Kapoor, while talking to ABP News, had confirmed that his wife was infected with the virus. "Yes, Maheep has tested positive for COVID-19. She has minor symptoms. Maheep has isolated herself and is following all protocols," he said.

Bollywood Celebs Who Recently Tested Positive For COVID-19 

The likes of Kareena Kapoor Khan, Amrita Arora, Seema Khan have been diagnosed with Coronavirus. They were infected with COVID-19 after attending Karan Johar’s house party. The filmmaker had hosted a small get-together to celebrate 20 years of ‘Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham’. 

KJo and his family members underwent a COVID-19 test after Kareena and others contracted the virus. Their reports came out as negative. The 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' director said that only eight people came at his house to celebrate two decades of 'KKKG'.

"My family and I and everyone at home have done their RTPCR tests and with the grace of god we are all negative. In fact I tested twice just to be safe and am negative...I truly appreciate the grandest efforts of the BMC to ensure the safety of our city. Salute to them...To some members of the media, I would like to clarify that a 8 people intimate gathering is not a 'party' and my home which we maintain strict protocols in is certainly no 'hotspot' of Covid," he wrote.

Shanaya Kapoor To Make Bollywood Debut With Karan Johar's Film

Karan, who launched Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Ananya Panday and Janhvi Kapoor, will produce Shanaya Kapoor's debut film. The details about the project have been kept under wraps.
