Hyderabad: Actor Ram Pothineni sustained injuries while working out in the gym on Monday. According to reports, there are internal injuries to his neck. The shooting for the film, #RAPO19, starring Ram Potineni had to be stopped after the gym accident. 


Reports said Ram has been working out to get a new look for this movie, and that the accident occurred during one of his gym sessions.


“Ustaad @ramsayz's #RAPO19 shoot halted due to his Neck injury during body transformation. Will be back soon with double the energy”, Twitter user Vamsi Kaka, a Media/PR Consultant in Telugu Film Industry, posted on the microblogging site. 



The user posted a photo of Ram with a support collar around his neck.


According to Ram’s team, the actor was seen writhing in pain as he suddenly held his neck, stopping his workout. 


A medical examination revealed internal injuries, and doctors have advised Ram to rest for at least a month to recover.


With this, the shooting schedule of all the films starring Ram will be affected. While shooting will continue for scenes not requiring Ram, all other schedules will have to be stopped.


#RAPO19 is Ram’s first film after 'Red'.


Helmed by renowned Tamil director N. Linguswamy, #RAPO19 is Ram’s 19th film. 


It is being produced by ‘Seetimaarr’ maker Srinivas Chittoori. 'Uppena' actor Kriti Shetty is playing the female lead opposite Ram in the film. 


It has been reported that Ram is going to appear as a police officer for the first time. 


Shooting for the second schedule of the movie recently started.
