Yash Starrer KGF 3 To Release In 2025; Film Goes On The Floors In 2024

The popular 'KGF' franchise from the Hombale studio, which stars Yash as its main lead, has been making waves in the Indian film industry.

New Delhi: Yash's Kannada blockbuster 'KGF' will have its third installment released in 2025, according to a Hombale Films spokesperson. By December 2023, production will start on the third installment of the all-India franchise. The popular franchise from the Hombale studio, which stars Yash as its main lead, has been making waves in the Indian film industry.

"On the fifth anniversary of 'KGF' on December 21, we will announce the release plan of 'KGF 3'. The initial round of discussion between the director, producer and actor for 'KGF 3' has happened and a storyline has been discussed. The shoot will begin in October 2024 and the film release in 2025. An official announcement about the release of 'KGF 3' will be made in December this year," spokesperson of Hombale Films told PTI.

Three more projects are in the works at Hombale projects. "We have 'Salaar 2' with Prabhas, 'Kantara 2' with Rishab Shetty and 'Tyson' with Prithviraj Sukumaran," the spokesperson said.

The period action series 'KGF: Chapter 1' premiered in 2018, while 'KGF: Chapter 2' was released as a follow-up in 2022. It focuses on Rocky (Yash) and his pursuit of fortune and power. Yash was asked about the 'KGF 3' announcement at the India Today Conclave Mumbai 2022.

"Since you said we are expecting good news from you, I said I already have two kids (laughs). The movie, very soon. I know there are a lot of news floating around. When I say it, that’s when the project will be announced. Rest of the things, I don’t want anybody to believe in it. I will come and tell when it is out," he said.

Rocky's ups and downs are chronicled in the Prashanth Neel-directed film 'KGF', which stars Yash. The 'KGF: Chapter 2' post-credits sequence made an indication that a sequel will be made.

The lead met a watery grave and threw all of his gold holdings into the sea as the movie came to a close. Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, and Srinidhi Shetty play major roles in the second installment. Malavika Avinash, Prakash Raj, Eswari Rao, and Saran all had supporting parts in the movie.
