New Delhi: 2018 proved to be a blockbuster year for Akshay Kumar as the actor delivered three back-to-back hits at the box office. Khiladi Kumar managed to win the hearts of the audience with his roles in films like ‘PadMan’, ‘Gold’ and ‘2.0’. The ‘Rustom’ actor is now all set to team with Kareena Kapoor Khan for Raj Mehta’s ‘Good News’. The film which also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani has gone on floors in November last year.


A report in a leading daily has suggested that Akshay would soon start shooting for ‘Good News’. The ‘Airlift’ actor is currently busy wrapping up the shoot of his other projects.

Akki will commence shooting for Dharma Productions’ ‘Good News’ from January 27, the report said.

“Akshay has given his dates from the last week of January. The entire crew, including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh will also be shooting in Mumbai for the second schedule of the film. He will join them on the sets around January 27,” a source told DNA.

The makers of ‘Good News’ have already wrapped up the first shooting schedule in Punjab. The film is based on the story of two couples and their issues with pregnancy.

“Akki and Bebo weren’t required for that schedule. The four of them will shoot their combination scenes now, whereas there will also be a third schedule featuring only the two main leads,” the source further told the daily.

Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor will star together for a full-fledged movie after ‘Kambakkht Ishq’ which released in 2009. Bebo had played a cameo in Kumar’s film ‘Gabbar Is Back’. Movie buffs are super excited to see their pairing once again on the silver screen.

'Good News' will hit the cinema theaters on July 19.


On the professional front, Akshay Kumar has a couple of exciting projects in his kitty. The National Award winning actor will be next seen in 'Kesari' which also stars Parineeti Chopra. Other than 'Kesari' and 'Good News', the actor will also entertain the fans in 'Mission Mangal' and 'Housefull 4'.
