Family Star: Vijay Deverakonda, Mrunal Thakur Film Gets U/A Certificate Due To Cuss Words

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) raised objections to the usage of profanity in Vijay-Mrunal's Telugu romance prior to its release.

New Delhi: Mrunal Thakur and Vijay Deverakonda are ready for their upcoming romantic comedy ‘Family Star’ Given the title, the audience assumed the film would be a family-friendly love story. However, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) raised objections to the usage of profanity in Vijay-Mrunal's Telugu romance prior to its release.

Family Star U/A certificate

The movie received a U/A certificate at the CBFC screening in Hyderabad. Additionally, some profanity that was utilised in the romantic comedy was muted by the censor board. The sequences with the backdrop of the United States were the ones where the offensive language was most frequently utilised.

The censors recommended that the creators of ‘Family Star’ tone down the swearing in order to make the film family-friendly.

On social media, the certification that Vijay-Mrunal's film received on April 2, 2024, has gone viral. It states that it will take about two hours, forty-three minutes, and twenty seconds. Five profane words and an overuse of alcohol labels in one song have been attributed to the five cuts.
