Mumbai: Music composer Wajid Khan passed away on June 1 due to Coronavirus and underlying kidney issues. The talented singer and musician’s sudden demise left the industry and fans in a state of shock. We had earlier informed you that Sajid and Wajid’s mother Naziya Khan had also contracted COVID-19 while taking care of her son at Surana Sethia hospital in Mumbai. She was undergoing treatment for Coronavirus at the same hospital along with Wajid.


ABP News has received exclusive information that Naziya has successfully recovered from COVID-19 and the 65-year-old has returned to her home in Oshiwara.

A source close to Wajid Khan’s family told ABP News, “Yes, it’s true that Sajid-Wajid’s mother returned to her house on Sunday after recovering from Coronavirus. She is currently under home quarantine. Her health is better than earlier.”

The source added that Raziya’s domestic help had also contracted COVID-19. “The lady, who helps Raziya in her domestic work, has also been discharged from Surana Sethia hospital along with Sajid-Wajid’s mother. She has under 14-day home quarantine,” the source said.



Raziya Khan was infected with COVID-19 before her son Wajid Khan contracted the virus. She tested positive for Coronavirus after she came into contact with the other Corona positive patients in the hospital. She stayed in the hospital to take care of her ailing son but got infected with the virus.
