Mumbai: A Special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) court on Thursday (October 14) rejected the bail pleas of Bollywood actor Armaan Kohli and two others, who were arrested in connection with a drugs case, according to a report in ANI.
The Narcotics Control Bureau had arrested Kohli in August 2021 in connection with a drugs case. The NCB officials grilled the ‘Bigg Boss 7’ contestant on August 29 after recovering banned drugs from his residence, as per a report in PTI.
An NCB team took Armaan Kohli to the agency’s office in South Mumbai raiding his house. The officials questioned him after some narcotics were found at his residence in Mumbai.
Sources told PTI that a small quantity of cocaine was recovered from Kohli’s house, following which a case was registered against him. The NCB had also arrested a drug peddler, Ajay Raju Singh, under the NDPS Act.
Kohli’s name came to the fore during the interrogation of Ajay, who was nabbed in Worli, as part of NCB’s action against the drugs mafia.
The NCB arrested Ajay Singh, a history-sheeter with a previous case registered against him by Mumbai Police’s Anti Narcotics Cell. The officials had recovered 25 gms of Mephedrone from Raju.
