Kartik Aaryan & Janhvi Kapoor's 'Dostana 2' Shoot In Delhi Cancelled Because Of Pollution

The cast and crew of Kartik Aaryan & Janhvi Kapoor starrer 'Dostana 2' faced breathing issues while shooting in Delhi.

New Delhi: Movie buffs have not been able to control their excitement ever since Karan Johar announced ‘Dostana 2’ starring Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles. The film will mark the Bollywood debut of TV heartthrob Lakshya aka Laksh Lalwani. The romantic comedy went on floors recently and Kartik even shared a picture of the clapper- board on his official Instagram handle. The cast and crew of ‘Dostana 2’ were supposed to shoot in Delhi but they had to cancel the shoot because of the air pollution which has affected the residents of the capital city and NCR. The poor air quality in Delhi-NCR took a toll on the health of the people and even the team of ‘Dostana’ was affected by it.

A report in an entertainment portal suggested that the shoot of the film in Delhi was called off because of the pollution in the city. ‘’The cast and crew couldn’t breathe. Visibility was so low that the camera couldn’t capture the shots properly. It was a no-win situation. The team decided to disperse until the weather improves,’’ a source told Bollywood Hungama. Priyanka Chopra, who was shooting for Netflix’s ‘The White Tiger’ in the capital, had also expressed her concern over the pollution in Delhi. PeeCee shared a picture in which she was seen wearing a mask. ‘’Shoot days for #thewhitetiger. It’s so hard to shoot here right now that I can’t even imagine what it must be like to live here under these conditions. We r blessed with air purifiers and masks. Pray for the homeless. Be safe everyone. #airpollution #delhipollution #weneedsolutions #righttobreathe,” Priyanka wrote. Although Priyanka Chopra got heavily trolled on social media, she did make an important point.
