#DilSeThankYou: Akshay Kumar Expresses Gratitude To Essential Service Providers Amid COVID-19 Lockdown

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar acknowledged the contribution of the essential service providers during the Coronavirus lockdown.

New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar took to social media to share a heartfelt post for the essential service providers, who are working round the clock for the welfare of the citizens during the Coronavirus lockdown. The ‘PadMan’ actor posted a photo in which he can be seen holding a placard which had the hashtag #DilSeThankYou written on it. The ‘Housefull 4’ actor expressed gratitude to the people, who are providing essential services amid the lockdown in the country. "Name: Akshay Kumar City : Mumbai Mere aur mere parivaar ki taraf se... Police, Nagar Nigam ke workers, doctors, nurses, NGOs, volunteers, government officials, vendors, building ke guards ko #DilSeThankYou," Akshay wrote while sharing the picture. Check out his post!
Khiladi Kumar also shared a video and encouraged his followers to use the hashtag #DilSeThankYou to acknowledge their contribution. He recalled a conversation he had with a Mumbai Police officer. The ‘Kesari’ actor said that the conversation gave him a new insight into the situation. “There’s an army of people working day and night to keep us safe, our families safe. Lets together say #DilSeThankYou to them because that’s the least we can do. @mybmc @MumbaiPolice,” Kumar tweeted.
The hashtag #DilSeThankYou trended on Twitter after Akshay shared his post. Akshay Kumar had extended support to PM-CARES Fund by donating Rs 25 crore. “This is that time when all that matters is the lives of our people. And we need to do anything and everything it takes. I pledge to contribute Rs 25 crores from my savings to @narendramodi ji’s PM-CARES Fund. Let’s save lives, Jaan hai toh jahaan hai,” he wrote on the micro-blogging site.
On the professional front, Akshay Kumar will be next seen in ‘Sooryavanshi’ opposite Katrina Kaif. The Rohit Shetty directorial was slated to hit the silver screens last month. The makers of the film had to postpone the release date due to Coronavirus pandemic.
