Mumbai: Karan Johar’s ‘Koffee With Karan’ is considered one of the most popular celebrity chat shows on the small screen. Several leading Bollywood stars including Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have featured in different seasons of ‘KWK’.  

‘Koffee With Karan 6’, which premiered in 2018, was mired into controversy following KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya’s statement on the show. Disney+Hotstar had to remove the episode featuring the two Indian cricketers from their site after fans slammed Rahul and Pandya for ‘sexist and racist’ comments.  

Karan Johar’s recent post on his Instagram stories has created lot of buzz on social media. The filmmaker posted a photo of a coffee cup along with the caption, “Koffee on Karan! Season?”  

KJo’s post has added fuel to the rumours of his popular show returning with a new season. It remains to be seen of ‘Koffee With Karan’ will return to the small screen or not.  The last season enjoyed a significant fan following as many celebs made interesting revelations on the show while sipping a cup of coffee.

Varun Dhawan confirmed his relationship with Natasha Dalal while talking to Karan in ‘KWK 6’.  Sara Ali Khan had expressed her desire to date Kartik Aaryan in front of her father Saif Ali Khan in the last season.

Karan’s talk show received flak from the fans after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death as several old clips from the show went viral on social media. The netizens expressed their displeasure over the comments made by some celebs against Sushant and others. 

Talking about Karan Johar, the ‘Ae Dil Mushkil’ director has several exciting films in pipeline including ‘Brahmastra’, ‘Liger’, ‘Shershaah’, Shakun Batra’s yet-to-be titled film.  

KJo remained in headlines after he dropped Kartik Aaryan from ‘Dostana 2’ in April. Gossip mills suggest that he removed the ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ star from his upcoming film owing to ‘unprofessionalism’. While Dharma Productions issued a statement to confirm Aaryan’s exit, the ‘Luka Chuppi’ actor has maintained a dignified silence over the matter.
