The IndiGo flight, 6E 264, which took off from Chandigarh on its scheduled time at around 12 noon on September 9 and landed in Mumbai at around 2.15 pm, had actress Kangana and her sister Rangoli Chandel on board. The 'Queen' actress has been in headlines for some days now after a war of words broke out between her and Shiva Sena leader Sanjay Raut over former's comments on Mumbai police force.

The flight also saw several several television channels' crew following the actress to seek her response after the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) demolished "illegal" constructions at her office in Mumbai's Pali Hill area.

News agency ANI reported that Directorate General of Civil Aviation sought a report from IndiGo airlines on photography and videography during Kangana Ranaut's flight from Chandigarh to Mumbai on September 9.

Meanwhile, the private carrier has responded back to the DGCA saying that it followed all the requisite protocols.

In an official statement, the company said, "We have given our statement to DGCA. Our cabin crew, as well as the captain, followed all the requisite protocols, including announcements to restrict photography, follow social distancing and maintain overall safety."

The Panga actress has been the centre of the controversy after she alleged that she is afraid of Mumbai Police. Following her comments, Shiv Sena leader Raut threatened her not to return to the city to which the actress threw an open challenge to stop her visit on September 9. Amid all this, the 'Manikarnika' actress was provided Y+ security by the Union Ministry for Home Affairs (MHA) following her family members' request.
