Deepika Padukone Opens Up On Her Next Film With Shakun Batra: 'Every Scene Is Delicious And There Is..'

Deepika Padukone is teaming up with Shakun Batra for her upcoming film.

New Delhi: Deepika Padukone has emerged as one of the most sought after actresses in Bollywood with her powerful performances in 'Bajirao Mastani', 'Piku' and 'Padmaavat'. The actress, who was last seen in 'Chhapaak', spilled some beans on what her next film with Shakun Batra is around in a recent interview. DP revealed how the narrative of the movie is about people and relationships. Deepika also mentioned the similarities between Shakun Batra and her, their alike film choices and  a lot more. The 'Tamasha' actress also spoke about how she is looking forward to working with Shakun who directed Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra's 'Kapoor & sons'. Deepika and the entire team of the upcoming film were all set to begin their shoot schedule in Sri Lanka but due to the Coronavirus pandemic that called for a nationwide lockdown, the production came to a halt. After the pandemic lockdown ends, Deepika will reportedly start shooting for the film. Talking about the same, Deepika revealed how she related to Shakun and what makes her look forward to getting onto the sets. The idea is simple but it’s really about moments and things like that. Which is why I am looking forward to this film because it’s exactly that. I mean yes of-course there is a story and a narrative but every scene is delicious and there is so much for us to do in it”, Deepika said. Shakun Batra's film co-starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday is slated to  hit the silver screens on February 12, 2021.

On the professional front, Deepika will be next seen in Kabir Khan's '83'. The film, based on India's 1983 Cricket World Cup win, got delayed due to the Coronavirus outbreak. DP is playing the role of Ranveer Singh's on-screen wife in the sports drama.
