Mumbai: An Esplanade court in Mumbai on Friday (October 8) rejected bail plea of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, Arbaz Seth Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha in connection with a case linked to seizure of drugs at a rave party on a luxury cruise, according to ANI. The bail pleas of the accused were rejected on grounds of maintainability.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate R.M. Nerlikar rejected the bail applications of the trio, upholding the contentions of the NCB, which is investigating the case. He accepted NCB's argument that only Special Sessions Court has the jurisdiction to hear the matter in the case and not the Magistrate, according to a report in Bar and Bench.

Lawyers of the accused, while interacting with the media, said that they plan to apply to the Sessions Court for the bail of their clients on Monday (October 11).
Aryan Khan To Be Kept In Quarantine Cell In Arthur Jail
Nitin Waychal, Superintendent of Arthur Jail, confirmed that Aryan Khan and the others will be kept in quarantine cell for the next three-five days. Aryan, Arbaz, Vikrant Choker and other male accused were sent to Mumbai's Arthur Road Central Jail on Friday (October 8) afternoon.
Munmun Dhamecha and Nupur Sarika were sent to Byculla Women's Jail.
Nigerian National Sent To NCB Custody In Drugs Case
On a related note, the Metropolitan Magistrate court sent Nigerian National Chinedu Igwe to NCB custody till October 11 in connection with the drugs seizure case, as per ANI.
The NCB, which is probing cruise drug bust case, arrested Chinedu for allegedly supplying drugs to the accused in the said case.
Aryan Khan, Arbaz Seth Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha, who are among the eight people arrested following a raid on a Goa-bound ship, were kept for six nights in the Narcotics Control Bureau lockup in South Mumbai after the court sent them to agency's custody, as per a report in IANS.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate R. M. Nerlikar on Thursday (October 8) rejected NCB's plea seeking extended custody of the accused. The court sent Aryan and others to a 14-day judicial custody.
