Music composer Shravan Rathod of Nadeem-Shravan fame, who tested positive for COVID-19, passed away after suffering a heart attack on Thursday (April 22). He was admitted to Mumbai's S.L. Raheja Hospital in a critical condition. He left for his heavenly abode after suffering a heart attack and multiple organ failure at 10pm in the hospital. 


Shravan Rathod's son Sanjeev Rathod, who couldn't control his tears, confirmed his father's death while talking to ABP News over the phone. "Dad took his last breathe few minutes ago after suffering a heart attack. Many of his organs stopped working," he said.

Shravan's condition was continuously deteriorating since the past three days. ABP News received the information that doctors started his dialysis from Monday night as Shravan's health was declining and his kidneys were not working properly.  


 Shravan Rathod's close friend, while talking to ABP News, gave an update about his health on Wednesday. “He is also facing kidney problems apart from ailments related to lungs and heart. The doctors had decided to start their dialysis on Tuesday because of his problems. The doctors said that the next 72 hours will prove to be very crucial for Shravan’s health,” he told us. 


According to Rathod's family, the musician returned from Kumbh a few days back. He was admitted to the hospital on Saturday (April 17).



Shravan Rathod and his music partner Nadeem Akhtar Saifi delivered several hit songs in the 90s. They composed music for many numbers, which emerged as chartbusters. The duo had composed music for films like ‘Aashiqui’, ‘Saajan’, ‘Phool Aur Kaante’, ‘Raja Hindustani’, 'Sadak', ‘Dil Ka Rishta’, ‘Kasoor’, ‘Raaz’, to name a few. The music composers had started their career in the 70s together with the hit Bhojpuri movie 'Dangal'.
