The team handling Mumbai Police’s Twitter account has often won the hearts of the users with their responses. Mumbai Police’s witty reply to a lover, who wanted to meet his girlfriend amid the Curfew in the city, is now grabbing eyeballs on social media. The city police has launched a colour-coded guide for the people after the state government announced curfew and imposed restrictions to ‘break the chain’ of COVID-19.

At a time when Mumbai is grappling with COVID-19 crisis, the Twitter user asked the police about the sticker he would need to step out and meet his ladylove. Guess what? Mumbai Police’s Twitter handle was ready with a heartwarming reply for the user named Ashwin Vinod, who is ‘missing’ his girlfriend.

They didn’t forget to add a dash of humour in their tweet. The city police provided the user some words of wisdom, adding, “Distance makes the heart grow fonder & currently, you healthier. P.S. We wish you lifetime together. This is just a phase.” They added the hashtag #StayHome to stress on the importance of staying indoors amid the health crisis.

May Twitter users were quick enough to react to Mumbai Police’s response. They lauded the handle for sending out a message ‘loud and clear’.

One user tweeted, "Thanks for replying to all sorts of queries. You are too good."

When one user appreciated Mumbai Police for their thoughtful posts and replies, the official handle requested him to stay at home and follow the precautions. They also promised to keep the users engaged with their 'wit and grit'. The tweet read, "You promise us that you will stay at home and stay safe and we promise to keep you engaged with our wit as well as grit to arrest the spread of #COVID19."

Madhavan also praised the Mumbai Police for responding to the user in the perfect way possible. "Hahaha Very well put and I am sure equally well received," the ‘3 Idiots’ actor wrote.

The city police replied, "We hope so too - its no 'Rocketry' after all." We loved how they mentioned Madhavan’s upcoming film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect' while responding to his tweet.
