New Delhi: After donating to UNICEF to combat Coronavirus, Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan took to social media to announce that she will now contribute TO PM-CARES Fund and Maharashtra CM Relief Fund. Bebo said that she would donate to the government relief fund along with her husband Saif Ali Khan and son Taimur Ali Khan.


The town town diva, last seen in ‘Angrezi Medium’, also urged her fans to contribute their bit during the crucial times.

We extend our support to the PM CARES Fund and the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (Maharashtra). In times like these, every helping hand and every rupee raised matters. Do Help wherever possible," the statement read.



Kareena Kapoor had earlier shared a post to announce that she and Saif would donate to UNICEF, GIVE INDIA and the International Association for Human Values (IAHV).

"At difficult times like these, we need to come together and help each other. We both have taken steps to do just that and have pledged our support to UNICEF, GIVE INDIA and the International Association for Human Values (IAHV). We urge those of you who can to do the same. United we stand. Jai Hind. Kareena, Saif and Taimur," the post read.

Several fans had expressed their displeasure after Kareena Kapoor shared the post. They were unhappy over the fact that the couple chose to donate to global agencies over PM-Cares Fund.



Karisma Kapoor and her children Samaira and Kiaan have also donated to the government relief fund. The ‘Raja Hindustani’ actress extended financial help to the PM-CARES Fund and Maharashtra CM Relief Fund and urged her followers to make a contribution.



Several Bollywood celebs including Akshay Kumar, Anushka Sharma, Varun Dhawan, Kartik Aaryan, Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan have contributed their bit to the government relief fund.
