New Delhi: Leading tinsel town celebs including Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Vicky Kaushal have contributed to various government relief funds to support the fight against Coronavirus. While the likes of SRK and Akshay have announced their contribution on social media, Aamir Khan has remained silent about his donation. Although, Bollywood’s ‘Mr. Perfectionist’ didn’t make any announcement, he has already transferred funds to various organizations.


According to a report in a leading daily, Aamir has donated to PM-CARES Fund and Maharashtra CM’s Relief Fund. The actor, who will be next seen in ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, has extended support to the daily wage workers of his film.

The ‘3 Idiots’ actor has also provided financial aid to film workers' association and a few NGOs, the report in Mid-Day said.  Bollywood critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to confirm the development.

“#AamirKhan donates to #PMCare #Maharashtra Chief Minister Relief Fund Extended support to the daily wage workers of his forthcoming film #LaalSinghChaddha. #COVID19Pandemic #CoronaVirus #Covid_19 #COVID19,” Adarsh wrote on the micro-blogging site.


Talking about 'Laal Singh Chaddha', the film is the official Hindi adaptation of ‘Forrest Grump’. The Advait Chandan directorial co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan will hit the silver screens on Christmas 2020.


Several other Bollywood stars including Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan, Kartik Aaryan and Ayushmann Khurrana have donated generously to support the government in the fight against Coronavirus. They are also using their social media handles to promote social distancing.
