PM Narendra Modi imposed a 21-day nationwide lockdown to stop the spread of Coronavirus. He also announced the creation of the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM CARES) Fund to fight against the deadly virus. Several Bollywood stars including Anushka Sharma, Kartik Aaryan and Rajkummar Rao have come forward to donate for the cause of combating COVID-19.
Katrina Kaif became the latest Bollywood star to donate t the government relief fund. Making an announcement on Instagram, she wrote, “I pledge to donate to the PM CARES fund and the Chief Minister's Relief Fund Maharashtra.
