'Chhichhore' & 'Good Newwz' Actress Abhilasha Patil Passes Away Due To COVID-19

Abhilasha Patil, who was a known name in the Marathi entertainment industry, died due to COVID-19 complications.

Abhilasha Patil, who worked in Marathi films and TV serials, passed away due to COVID-19 complications in Mumbai. She was 47. The actress is survived by her mother and son. 

Abhilasha, who was a prominent name in the Marathi film and TV industry, also acted in Hindi movies like 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania', 'Chhichhore', 'Good Newwz', and 'Malal'. 

ABP News got to know that Abhilasha Patil was shooting for a web show in Uttar Pradesh’s Banaras for the last few days. She returned to Mumbai after her health deteriorated while shooting for her project. After returning to the city, she underwent a COVID-19 test. Her results came out as positive. 

She was admitted to the ICU in a Mumbai hospital after she tested positive for the virus. Her health worsened and she succumbed to Coronavirus after a few days.   

The talented actress also featured in Marathi films like 'Bayko Deta ka Bayko', 'Te Aath Diwas', 'Pravas', 'Tujha Majha Arrange Marriage'. She played a key role in ‘BaapManus’, which is considered one of the most popular Marathi shows. 

Patil was also seen in the second season of Disney+Hotstar's 'Criminal Justice'. Several Marathi celebs expressed their grief over her demise on social media.
