Chandrayaan 2: "Would Be An Honour To Witness Our Country Making History" B'wood-TV Celebs Akshay Kumar, Karan Tacker & Others Cheer For India's Historic Mission!

Launched on July 22, Chandrayaan 2 will attempt a touchdown near the moon’s south pole in wee hours of Saturday, between 1 -2 am.

The country is eagerly waiting for the moment tonight, the final descent of Chandrayaan-2 on the Moon's surface. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be at the ISRO headquarters in Bengaluru to watch it happening and over a billion Indians at home and those all over the world will be catching the LIVE streaming of the Moon mission. Launched on July 22, Chandrayaan 2 will attempt a touchdown near the moon’s south pole in wee hours of Saturday, between 1.30 -2.30 am. PM Modi said the Chandrayaan-2 mission was "Indian at heart, Indian in spirit! What would make every Indian overjoyed is the fact that it is a fully indigenous mission". The celebrities from the Film and Television industry are also excited for 'Chandrayaan 2' and have taken to their social media accounts expressing their joy and cheering for ISRO. Wishing @ISRO and team #Chandrayaan2 the bestest.. #cantwait :) The milestone event will be telecast live across many channels including GECs. ISRO will telecast the updates on its website, isro.gov.in from its control room. The same will stream on the Press Information Bureau (PIB) YouTube channel and Twitter page. Also channels like Colors TV, Star Plus, National Geographic, Star Bharat have announced they would stream it LIVE. Their video streaming services Hotstar and Voot would also cover it LIVE. The event can be caught LIVE from 11.30 pm (6:00 PM GMT) on Star Plus, Star Bharat, NGC and Hotstar tonight which is 1 hour before the scheduled touchdown. On the other hand Group CEO & Managing Director of Viacom 18 just dropped a tweet announcing they would go LIVE with it at 1 am and it would be streaming on all the regional channels of Colors along with Colors Infinity and video streaming service Voot. ISRO will telecast the updates on its website, isro.gov.in from its control room. The same will stream on the Press Information Bureau (PIB) YouTube channel and Twitter page. Completed in an unbelievable budget of just Rs 978 crore,  Chandrayaan 2 is an unmanned moon mission of India. According to ISRO, the cost of satellite was Rs 603 crore and GSLV MK III (which carried Chandrayaan 2) cost stood at Rs 375 crore. On August 21, Chandrayaan 2 sent its first Moon image captured by Vikram Lander at a height of about 2,650 km from the lunar surface. The spacecraft comprises three segments—the Orbiter (weighing 2,379 kg, eight payloads), the lander Vikram (1,471 kg, four payloads), and rover Pragyan (27 kg, two payloads).
