New Delhi: The film ‘Chandramukhi 2’, directed by P Vasu,  starring Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut in the lead roles, was released on September 28. The second day of its release saw a decrease in the film's box office collection, with the film earning almost half of the amount it had earned on the first day. According to Sacnilk's early box office estimates the film's Friday collection was Rs 4.50 crore. The movie is a sequel to the highly successful Tamil film Chandramukhi, which stars actor Rajinikanth.

‘Chandramukhi 2’ was initially scheduled to hit the screens on September 15, but due to production delays, it was postponed to September 28. On the first day of its release, the film grossed Rs 8.25 crore in India. The film's two-day total collection is Rs 12.75 crore with 35.54 % occupancy in Tamil Nadu alone. The film has not made a mark in Mumbai and other Western and Northern regions of India.

The film features Raghava in a dual role. Audiences have praised their performance in the film. Despite this, the film has not been successful at the box office.

The weekend effect could help the film's box office numbers rise in the next two days. Competing against films like ‘Fukrey 3’, ‘The Vaccine War’, and Shah Rukh Khan's monster smash 'Jawan', it will be exciting to see how the film does.

The movie is a horror comedy with an amazing set design and amazing visuals. ‘Chandramukhi 2’ has received a mixed review from the audiences. In the film, Kangana Ranaut portrays a dancer in the king's court, who is known for her beauty and dancing skills and Raghava Lawerence portrays King Vettaiyan Raja. In ‘Chandramukhi 2’, the main plot involves a family moving into Chandramukhi's residence despite special warnings.

The movie's music was composed by the Oscar-winning composer, MM Keeravani.
