Bihar Police Team Scrutinises Sushant Singh Rajput's Account Details, Visits Rhea Chakraborty's Home

The four-member team from Bihar Police team will probe an `abetment to suicide' case registered against Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty and five other people in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput's death case.

New Delhi: Late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s case took a new turn when his father KK Singh filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and five other people at Patna’s Rajiv Nagar Station. Singh lodged a complaint against the ‘Jalebi’ actress for alleged abetment to suicide. A four-member team from Bihar Police arrived in Mumbai on Wednesday (July 29) to quiz Chakraborty in connection with the case. According to a report in a news agency, Bihar Police started the process of scrutinizing financial transactions and bank account details of Sushant from Thursday (July 30). The Bihar Police team visited several places including Rhea Chakraborty’s residence in Mumbai but didn’t find her at home, a Mumbai Crime Branch official told PTI. The four-member team also visited a bank in Bandra where Sushant had an account, the official said. The cops are also looking into statements recorded and evidence collected by the Mumbai Police, he added. The team is also expected to question some people related to the ‘Dil Bechara’ actor including his former girlfriend Ankita Lokhande, the official told the news agency. Sushant’s father had accused Rhea Chakraborty of blackmailing his son and keeping him away from the family. He further mentioned in his six-page FIR that Rs 15 crore were transferred from Sushant’s bank account to accounts which were not related to the late actor. He also alleged that Rhea befriended the ‘Raabta’ actor with the intention of furthering her own career in the film industry. KK Singh also mentioned that Rhea threatened to share Sushant’s medical reports to the media. He said that Rhea, who was living with the ‘Pavitra Rishta’ actor, moved out of his place on June 8 with cash, laptops, credit card, its pin number and important documents. A case was registered against Chakraborty under various IPC sections including 341 (wrongful restraint), 342 (wrongful confinement), 380 (theft in dwelling house), 406 (criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating) and 306 (abetment of suicide).
