'Aashiqui' Actor Rahul Roy Suffers Brain Stroke, Hospitalised; Tests Negative For COVID-19

'Bigg Boss 1' winner Rahul Roy suffered a brain stroke while shooting for his upcoming film in Kargil.

New Delhi: Bollywood actor Rahul Roy, who is fondly known for playing the lead role in Mahesh Bhatt's 'Aashiqui', has been admitted to Mumbai's Nanavati hospital.  He was shooting for his upcoming film in Kargil when he suffered a brain stroke.  The 52-year-old actor suffered a brain stroke seven days back while shooting for his movie. He was brought to Srinagar from Kargil and later to Mumbai for medical treatment.  The actor was admitted to Nanavati hospital on Saturday (November 28). The 'Junoon' actor has tested negative for COVID-19. He is currently admitted in the ICU. Rahul Roy's Health Update 

Rahul Roy's brother-in-law Romir Sen, while exclusively talking to ABP News' correspondent Ravi Jain, said, "Rahul has been admitted to Nanavati hospital. Keeping in mind the COVID-19 crisis, he has been kept in the ICU as a precautionary measure. His  Coronavirus test report has come out as negative. There is nothing to worry about. His health is also improving." Rahul's sister Priyanka Roy also confirmed that her brother's health condition is improving with every passing day. The film is considered as a blockbuster, particularly due to its music. He has also featured in movies like 'Pyaar Ka Saaya', 'Jaanam', 'Sapne Sajan Ke', to name a few. Rahul also participated in the first season of the popular reality show 'Bigg Boss'. He defeated Ravi Kishan and Carol Gracis to lift the winner's trophy.
