New Delhi: Barbie box office performance: Barbie, directed by Greta Gerwig and starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as Barbie and Ken, respectively, had a lacklustre opening day. The movie, according to preliminary estimates, dipped to about 2.5 crore on day 4, according to a post on Sacnilk.com.

Barbie was released concurrently with Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer, a sombre biography of the inventor of the atomic bomb that deals with a completely different theme. The renowned fashion doll is brought to life on screen for the first time in the live-action movie, Barbie. Following an existential crisis, the movie follows Barbie and Ken on a quest of self-discovery. Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie play the lead while America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Issa Rae, Rhea Perlman, and Will Ferrell are among the ensemble cast members in the movie.

Barbie made 6.5 crore on Saturday, up around 30% from its opening day total of 5 crore, according to Sacnilk.com. On Sunday, it increased even further, reaching 7.15 crore, but on Monday, it only reached 2.5 crore. The movie has currently earned an estimated 21.15 crore.

As both films continue to break box office records, Barbie and Oppenheimer's simultaneous release developed into a global phenomenon known as Barbenheimer.

'Barbie' has drawn viewers from all spheres of life thanks to its widespread appeal. The Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling film has received overwhelmingly positive reviews, although there has been significant discussion over whether it is superior to "Oppenheimer." However, Juhi Parmar, a television actor, took to Instagram on Monday to lambast Barbie makers. She criticised the creators in an open letter and claimed that she left within ten to fifteen minutes.
