In the presence of their family and friends, they tied the knot today, January 23, at Sunil Shetty's farmhouse in Khandala.
Earlier, in the evening, Suniel and his son Ahan Shetty left the wedding venue to hand out sweets to the media who had gathered there. Suniel was seen dressed in an all-white ethnic ensemble, while his son was dressed in a crepe-colored Kurta and pyjamas.
While addressing the media, Suniel Shetty described the wedding as a "beautiful, small, very close family event". "Bohot acha raha aur abhi phere bhi ho gaye hain. Abhi shaadi officially ho chuki hain toh officially father-in-law bhi ban chukka hoon," the actor said.
Meanwhile, photographs of guests arriving at the wedding venue in cars were captured. Cricketer Ishan Sharma, actor Varun Aaron, Diana Penty, Tiger Shroff's sister Krishna, Arjun Kapoor's sister Anshula, and others were on the guest list.
On January 22, the sangeet was held, and videos of the event are currently trending on social media. The wedding reception for KL Rahul and Athiya will reportedly take place after the 2023 IPL season due to the couple's busy work commitments.
Before going public, Athiya and KL Rahul had been dating for a few years. With a birthday post, they finally made their relationship Instagram official. After that, they appeared together on the red carpet to officially announce their love at the premiere of her brother Ahaan Shetty's first movie, 'Tadap'.
