The makers of 'Thalaivi' have released a new still of Arvind Swami as MGR to wish him on his 51st birthday.
Mumbai: Tamil actor Arvind Swami, who will be seen playing the role of late M. G. Ramachandran in ‘Thalaivi’, turned a year older on Friday (June 18). The makers of the film unveiled a new poster of the talented actor on his birthday on social media. Arvind can be seen wearing a white shirt and sarong in a new still from ‘Thalaivi’.
The official Instagram handle of ‘Thalaivi’ shared the photo along with the caption, “To the one who’s as legendary as the role he’s portraying on screen, wishing our MGR #ArvindSwami a very Happy Birthday.” Fans have flooded the comments section with their messages and wishes.
Arvind, known for his acting prowess, will be seen playing the role of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.G.R in ‘Thalaivi’, which is based on J Jayalalithaa’s life. The film starring Kangana Ranaut in a titular role was slated to hit the silver screens on April 23; however, the makers decided to postpone the release due to the COVID-19 crisis.
The trailer of ‘Thalaivi’, which was released on Kangana’s birthday, received an amazing response from the audience and created anticipation for the film.
