Anushka now says Salman's ‘raped woman’ comment was INSENSITIVE
New Delhi: Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma who is on cloud nine these days after the success of her latest film ‘Sultan’, finally decided to break her silence on Salman Khan’s controversial ‘raped woman’ comment.
In an exclusive interview with Anupama Chopra, the actress said, ” Firstly I would like to find out what he actually said because I wasn’t there. Quite honestly, after that a lot has been spoken about it and obviously whatever he said was insensitive. Yes, it was a bit insensitive and I was a bit surprised by whatever was said. It made me realise that all of us have responsibility towards what we speak anywhere. Celebrities more so, have to be more aware of what they are saying.”
Last month, Salman courted controversy when he compared his gruelling workout for his movie "Sultan" left him feeling like a ‘raped woman’.
The ‘Dabangg’ actor is yet to comment on the statement despite repeated demands from various sections for an apology.
On work front, the ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ actress will be next seen in ‘Phillauri’ and Dharma Productions’ ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’.
