Anupam Kher To Star In YRF Entertainment's Vijay 69, Shares Poster

Veteran actor Anupam Kher has announced his new film with YRF Entertainment. The actor will play the lead role in 'Vijay 69', an upcoming slice-of-life OTT film.

New Delhi: Veteran actor Anupam Kher has announced his new film with YRF Entertainment. The actor will play the lead role in 'Vijay 69', an upcoming slice-of-life OTT film. 

Sharing the poster of the film, Anupam wrote, "Announcement; It’s good to be 69 years young! Super excited to be starring in @YRFEnt’s #Vijay69 in the lead : a quirky slice-of-life film for OTT about a man who decides to compete in a triathlon contest at the age of 69. The poster shows an animated version of Anupam in pink and black sportswear and riding a bicycle. 

The film will be directed by Akshay Roy, the filmmaker behind Ayushmann Khurrana and Parineeti Chopra's 2017 movie 'Meri Pyari Bindu'. 

'Vijay 69' will narrate the life of a sexagenarian man (Kher) who decides to compete in a triathlon contest at the age of 69, a press release from YRF Entertainment stated. 

YRF Entertainment also shared a post along with the poster on its Instagram account. The caption read, "This one's going to be a fun, special ride! We are happy to announce @yrfentertainment’s 3rd project #Vijay69 : a quirky slice-of-life film for OTT about a man who decides to compete in a triathlon contest at the age of 69. The film will be produced by filmmaker Maneesh Sharma, known for directing YRF titles like 'Band Baaja Baaraat', ‘Shuddh Desi Romance' and 'Fan'. 

'Vijay 69' is the third project from YRF Entertainment, the newly launched digital arm of production banner Yash Raj Films (YRF). 

The company earlier announced two OTT series -- 'The Railway Men' and 'Mandala Murders'. 

Anupam was last seen in Uunchai alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sarika, Parineeti Chopra, Danny Denzongpa, and Neena Gupta.
