Big B's Granddaughter Navya Gets A 'DIY' Graduation; Here's How Mamu Abhishek Wished Her!

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda couldn’t fly back to New York to attend her ‘Graduation Day’ ceremony in her college due to the Coronavirus lockdown.

Navya's mamu Abhishek Bachchan shared a heartwarming post for her on social media.

Amitabh Bachchan shared this collage and one user commented that Shweta's expressions resembled her mother Jaya Bachchan while Navya's resembled her mom Shweta. Although due to the lockdown you were not able to celebrate it at your university with your classmates and the home garden had to suffice.... Shweta penned a heartfelt post for her daughter, which read, "Verified Class of 2020 - Navya finished college today and since she and everyone else graduating this year won’t get a ceremony we decided to DIY one. With a chart paper cap and a gown hand stitched from scraps of black tenting. I threw on a Fordham ( her college ) sweatshirt over my PJ’s!! Congratulations baby I love you and am proud of you! Go forth and conquer x ( I’m not crying you’re crying)."

For those who don't know, Navya Naveli Nanda graduated from New York's Fordham University.

Navya’s mother Shweta Bachchan Nanda made sure that her daughter didn’t feel low on her special day and hosted a ‘DIY’ Graduation Day ceremony for her at their home in Jalsa.

Shweta shared several pictures in which Navya Naveli Nanda can be seen posing with her hand-stitched robe and scholar cap. Did you know the cap was made from black chart paper? Yes, you read that right!
