Mumbai: Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt penned a sweet note for her best friend Akansha Rajan Kapoor, who turned a year older on Saturday (September 18). The ‘Raazi’ star shared a throwback snap with the birthday girl from their Maldives vacation on social media along with the note.

Alia posted a photo from her vacation on her official Instagram handle to wish her BFF. Bhatt and Kapoor can be seen flashing their million-dollar smiles while striking a pose for the camera. While the ‘Gully Boy’ actress wore a pink bikini, her friend was seen in a purple monokini. 

The caption for the post read, “Happy birthday my universe.” Fans have flooded the comments section with their messages and wishes. Alia’s new photo has received over 6 lakh likes within one hour. Who Is Akansha Ranjan?

The actress is the daughter of Shashi Ranjan and Anu Ranjan. She was seen in Karan Johar's 'Guilty', which premiered directly on Netflix in March 2020. The film starring Kiara Advani in a lead role focused on the story of a songwriter whose boyfriend was accused of rape.

Akansha's elder sister Anushka Ranjan posted a heartfelt note to wish her. She shared an adorable snap with Akansha along with a big post.

Alia Bhatt’s Upcoming Films 

On the professional front, the ‘Kalank’ star will be next seen in ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’. She is playing the titular role in Sanjay Leela  Bhansali’s much-awaited film.  

Alia has several exciting projects in her kitty including ‘Brahmastra’, ‘RRR’ and ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’. She will be seen sharing screen-space with her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor for the first time in ‘Brahmastra’. The science fiction film co-starring Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy has been delayed several times. 

Bhatt is currently busy with the shoot of ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, which also stars Ranveer Singh. The two tinsel town celebs have previously worked in ‘Gully Boy’, which released in 2019.
