Alia Bhatt To Star In Dinesh Vijan's Upcoming Supernatural Thriller 'Chamunda': Report
Alia Bhatt has been in talks with producer Dinesh Vijan for a supernatural thriller, which could be her next project after 'Love And War'.
New Delhi: Alia Bhatt, who was last seen in Jigra alongside Vedang Raina, is gearing up for a new project after her upcoming ventures YRF's ‘Alpha’ with Sharvari Wagh and ‘Love And War’, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Alia is now concentrating on two big forthcoming projects, despite the fact that her last film ‘Jigra’ bombed at the box office. There is a fascinating new development about her next endeavour.
Pinkvilla reports that Alia Bhatt has committed her bulk dates to 'Love and War' until November 2025 and is currently searching for a movie to work on after that. A source close to the development revealed, “Alia has always discussed multiple feature films with Dinesh Vijan and is now on the verge of collaborating with the producer. The actress has loved a psychological supernatural thriller, which could be her next after 'Love And War' for the big screen. The talks are on, and things are expected to be on paper by the first quarter of 2025.”
Alia Bhatt to Join Maddock's Horror Universe
This particular thriller is called ‘Chamunda’, and it is currently in the writing stage. According to reports, Vijan's production would include the movie in a broader horror world. This world is expected to grow much more with Alia's participation.
It was previously claimed that Kiara Advani and Maddock were working together on 'Devi', a supernatural horror film. Reports suggest that Devi and Alia Bhatt's 'Chamunda' could belong to the same world.
The insider went on to say, “Horror comedies and thrillers are the current favourite flavour. Alia is excited to partner with Maddock on this feature film, which could start a parallel universe alongside the horror comedy universe comprising of 'Stree', 'Bhediya', 'Munjya', and 'Thamma'. The new universe will feature Alia Bhatt and Kiara Advani among many others.”
