Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is doing everything possible to help the people, who have been affected by the COVID-19 lockdown. The ‘PadMan’ actor donated Rs 25 crore to PM-CARES Fund to support the government’s fight against Coronavirus. Fans lauded Khiladi Kumar for his generous donation and praised him on social media. Akshay even donated Rs 2 crore to Mumbai Police foundation to support the frontline workers.
ABP News has received the information that the ‘Housefull 4’ actor has now donated Rs 45 lakh to Cine & TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA).
CINTAA’s Joint Secretary Amit Behl, while exclusively talking to ABP News, said, “Akshay Kumar extended financial help of Rs 45 lakhs to CINTAA. We have deposited Rs 3000 each in the account of 1500 artists and workers associated with CINTAA yesterday.”
He further added, “CINTAA had communicated about the financial crisis of the artist and workers amid the lockdown to Sajid Nadiawala, who informed Akshay about the same.”

Ami Behl also revealed that Hrithik Roshan also donated Rs 25 lakhs to CINTAA. Several other Bollywood and TV celebs have come forward to extend help to the distressed junior artists and daily wage earners.
The likes of Vidya Balan, Shabana Azmi, Farhan Akhtar, Rajiv Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor have donated Rs 5 lakhs to CINTAA. Several TV celebs including Kiku Sharda, Sunil Grover, Sharad Kelkar, Ali Asgar and Raju Srivastava have also provided financial assistance amid the lockdown.

“Several junior artists and daily wagers associated with CINTAA need help at the moment. Several celebs from the industry have assured that they will provide support during the grave crisis,” Behl said.
