Aspiring Actor Akshat Utkarsh Found Dead In Mumbai; Family Accuses Mumbai Police Of Negligence

Akshat Utkarsh's family members have accused the Mumbai Police of not investigating the matter.

New Delhi: A 26-year-old budding actor Akshat Utkarsh was found dead at his rented house in Mumbai on Sunday. The actor, who belonged to Bihar’s Muzaffpur, allegedly hanged himself at his Andheri apartment. The police officials handed over the body to the late actor’s family after post-mortem. His body was taken to Muzaffpur on Tuesday (Sepember 29) by his family. His family members have accused the Mumbai Police of not investigating the matter. They have also raised concerns over his death, calling it suspicious. Akshat, who was pursuing an MBA from Lucknow, came to Mumbai two years back to try his luck in Bhojpuri films. He was living in a rented flat in Suresh Nagar, Andheri West. His father’s name is Raju Chaudhary. According to Akshat’s uncle’s statement, the actor used to stay with a aspiring actress named Sneha Chauhan. Sneha and Akshat shared a close bond, the actor’s uncle said. He also mentioned about another girl Akanksha Dubey, who was Akshat’s MBA classmate and a good friend.

Akshat’s girlfriend informed the police about his suicide. According to her statement, the actor also used to work in private company. He played a role in the upcoming film ‘Litti Chokha’. According to Mumbai Police officials, Akshat was facing financial crisis. They added that he died after hanging himself with towels.
