Actor Ranjan Sehgal, who was a known face in the Punjabi and Hindi film industry, passed away on Saturday (July 11). According to a report in a leading daily, the actor died due to multiple organ failure. He was 36. Ranjan, who was not keeping well since a long time, acted in several acclaimed plays. The actor also worked in shows like ‘Gustakh Dil’, ‘Rishton Se Badi Pratha’, ‘Crime Patrol’, ‘Kuldeepak’ and ‘Savdhaan India’.

Ranjan Sehgal was also seen in Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Randeep Hooda starrer ‘Sarbjit’ in 2016. He featured in films like ‘Karma’ and ‘Mahi NRI’. The 36-year-old completed his MA in theater from Punjab University in 2009, the report in Times Of India said.



Ranjan Sehgal got married to Nivya Chhabra on February 24, 2014, as per reports. They tied the knot after one year of their engaged. The couple met each other on the sets of a Punjabi show. They also worked in Life Ok’s ‘Tum Dena Saath Mera’.

Ranjan's 'Mahi NRI' co-star Poppy Jabbal, while talking to a regional daily, expressed shock over his sudden demise. The actress recalled shooting with him on the sets and said that he was a good teacher.



Several tinsel town celebs including Rishi Kapoor, Irrfan Khan, Saroj Khan, Sushant Singh Rajput and Wajid Khan have passed away this year. Veteran actor Jagdeep, who was fondly knownfor playing the role of ‘Soorma Bhopali’, left for his heavenly abode at the age of 36 on July 8.
