Riddhima Kapoor Refutes Rumours That She, Neetu Singh, Karan Johar & Ranbir Tested Positive For COVID-19

Late Rishii Kapoor's daughter Riddhima took to social media to squash rumours that suggested that her mother, brother and filmmaker Karan Johar tested positive for COVID-19.

New Delhi: Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan tested positive for Coronavirus on Saturday (July 11). Big B took to social media to inform his fans that he was shifted to hospital and his family members are waiting for their COVID-19 tests. As soon as the news of the Bachchans testing positive for the novel virus hit the internet, social media went abuzz with several speculations. Rumour mills suggested that Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Neetu Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor have also tested positive for COVID-19.

Late Rishi Kapoor’s daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni took to Instagram to squash all the rumours floating on social media. She shared a screenshot of a tweet, which suggested that they caught the virus from Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda, who attended Neetu Singh’s birthday party.

“Attention seeking? Least verify/ clarify! We are fit We are good! Stop spreading rumours!,” Riddhima wrote in her post. Check it out!

Riddhima is staying with her mother Neetu in Mumbai after the demise of her father Rishi Kapoor. The veteran actor left for his heavenly abode on April 30 after a two-year long battle with leukemia.

Riddhima travelled from Delhi to Mumbai via road to extend support to her mother during the tough times. She couldn’t attend Rishi Kapoor’s funeral due to the COVID-19 lockdown. She face-timed with Alia Bhatt to catch the last glimpse of her father.

Amitabh and Abhishek have been admitted to the hospital after testing positive for COVID-19. Abhishek tweeted, “Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for Covid 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you.”

The Public Relation Officer of Nanavati hospital issued a statement and said that the ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ actor is stable with mild symptoms. Meanwhile, the BMC officials have arrived at Bachchan’s residence Jalsa for contact tracing purpose.

The COVID-19 antigen test reports of Jaya Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan are negative, while swab test results are awaited.
