Deepika Padukone Celebrates 7 Years Of ‘Chennai Express’, Writes ‘Unforgettable’

One of Bollywood’s self-made star, the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actress made her debut with Farah Khan directorial ‘Om Shanti Om’ opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Since then, there has been no stopping for the star. She went on portraying different characters on-screen and has been delivering record-breaking films. From amongst the various roles that the actress portrayed, her character ‘Meenamma’ from ‘Chennai Express’ received a lot of appreciation. Even after 7 years of its release, the viewers still connect to the characters. One of the most memorable scenes from the Rohit Shetty directorial is when Meenamma kicked Rahul out of the bed in her dreams. ‘Chennai Express’ went on to become commercially successful and till this date, the audience enjoys watching the movie. While celebrating 7 years of the movie’s release, Deepika took to her social media and shared some unseen BTS pictures from the sets of ‘Chennai Express’. In the pictures, the actress can be seen sharing some fun moments with the male lead Shah Rukh Khan and director Rohit Shetty. Speaking on the work front, the ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’ actress will be next seen starring with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday in Shakun Batra’s next unnamed directorial venture. Her next movie as a producer ‘83’ will hit the screens later this year where Ranveer Singh will be seen portraying the character of the cricketer Kapil Dev. Deepika Padukone and Prabhas will also be sharing the screen together for Nag Ashwin’s next sci-fi fiction film.
